Olympus E-M1

Testing out the, relatively new, E-M1 from Olympus. I'm impressed! The E-M1 has pro-level functionality and performance. So far I only have the Oly 45mm f/1.8 lens on hand but I will continually update this gallery with new images from this camera.

45mm f/1.8 : 1/25 @ f/1.8 : ISO 400

This isn't going to be a full review but more of an initial 'rolling impressions' report. So far the AF speed is as advertised: Very impressive. It's easily beating my 6D in most light. Speed is also impressive; 10FPS (without continuous tracking) is fun and certainly useful. 6FPS with AF Tracking is actually faster than what I'm used to (again besting my 6D easily).

Tones are subjective (and often hard to discern with all our options these days) but so far I'm loving the skin tones and overall colors. It's handling of highlights is just good enough and there is plenty of room to manipulate in post. I'm using a combination of standard Lightroom manipulation and Alien Skin Exposure 5.

45mm f/1.8 : 1/20 @ f/1.8 : ISO 200

Dislikes so far? Too small (for me) without the grip. I need to pick that up. I'd like Oly to give us an OCF option similar to Canon's (Radio). Throw in more 1.2 glass (Panasonic has the awesome 42.5mm) and I'm hooked :)
