Bride to be? Looking to book a portrait session? Below is a few of the typical questions I get about my services and/or photography related. What happens if you get sick or have an emergency on the day of our wedding?

It take A LOT for me to not be there. I've shot with high fevers... really any kind of sick. I manage. Having said that, life happens. In the extreme unlikely scenario that I can't be there, I have well-thought-out backup plans ready to go. FYI, in all the years since I started shooting professionally, I've never missed a date.

How long does it take to receive our images?

3-6 weeks. The time varies depending on how many weddings I am currently working on at the time. I work as fast as I possibly can while keeping the quality of work at the same high level I keep for myself.

Where will you shoot?

I'm available to shoot, and have shot,  worldwide. However, most of my work is shot in the continental US. Specifically, on the East Coast, US. I reside in NJ.

What kind of files do I receive?

You may have heard the term 'RAW' as it pertains to the files coming out of digital cameras. They are much larger files and without the necessary editing that is part of my services. Professional editing software is also necessary to get the most out of these files. I do not give out RAW files. What I DO give out are COMPLETED 'jpg' files at PRINT resolution. These can be taken anywhere for printing and look MUCH better than the unprocessed RAW files.

Do you 'backup' our images?

YES!!! All of my cameras shoot on two cards at once. One card is only for backup. So, every shot I take is immediately backed up. As soon as I return home I copy the cards over to two different hard drives. I also use cloud services to have a third, off-site backup as well. Also, your final print-ready images are available for a year in the password protected gallery I set up for you.

How many images do we get?

On a typical 8-12 hour day I deliver about 600-900 images. I cull out the misses, bad exposures, blinks, etc... The images you receive tell the story I love telling!


How I work

My style is journalistic. I look for moments and try capture the day is it comes. This isn't to say I never pose. During formals I absolutely pose. For portraits I typically try to create a natural feeling of how the couple already is with each other without anyone there. I try to fill that space with laughter and emotion vs. strict posing and manipulation. I will offer hints and subtle changes here and there but I want the wedding to be YOU; capturing that, that real tangible love, is what makes this so great.

As my wedding package shows, I don't count hours. Typically, I'm there an hour before 'hair & makeup' for details (dress, shoes, etc...) and I'm with you through to the last song of the night. Even then I'm not rushing out. I truly enjoy this. Why leave early and miss something with some arbitrary hours pricing structure? Just not what I'm about.

I prefer to be a source of calm and fun, rather than a source of anxiety. I try to solve problems that crop up without you knowing, if at all possible. Wedding days never go completely without a hitch. They are an awesome mix of a zillion things that somehow always create a small slice of perfect. It's funny like that.
